We are looking for a Product Manager who can help us build a foundation for how we serve our stakeholders at Liferaft. We take an expansive view of Product at our company as anything that impacts the experience of someone interacting with us, from enrollment to claims to customer service and compliance. This is a foundational role where you will help to define how we serve the members of our ecosystem going forward.
Develop and prioritize new features for the Liferaft platform for both policyholders and broker/agent users, taking into account business objectives and technical considerations
Communicate requirements to engineering and work to understand any engineering constraints of our system
Conduct interviews and gather feedback from prospective, current and lost customers and clients, translating the insights you derive into product targets and opportunities
First pass QA and QC testing of our products ensuring we meet the highest quality bar
Monitor and flag system health issues you find or observe through customer or broker calls/emails
Write memos to keep leadership apprised of problems or opportunities and advocate for solutions to internal stakeholders
Process-minded, with a bias to developing processes to help a small team stay efficient and effective
Pragmatic, you don’t miss the forest for the trees and can reason about when a solution is practical and makes sense
Organized, you can manage and stay on top of multiple simultaneous workstreams
Optimistic and upbeat, you carry a "can do" attitude into every customer interaction
A builder at heart, you love creating and being part of a creative process
Collaborative and communicative, you know that we go farther together
Thrive under ambiguity, you prefer the chaotic beauty of an early stage company to a big company box
Previously worked as a software engineer or closely with software engineering teams
Ran social media or online advertising campaigns
Worked in customer service, client success, or sales at a growing startup
Thought critically about products you both love and hate with concrete reasons as to why
At Liferaft we are building a health expense safety net designed for real life. No one should have to choose between quality medical care and financial ruin and our mission is to make sure they don’t. You’ll be joining an early-stage startup with the opportunity to help build the foundation of the business from the ground up and have a direct impact on the trajectory of our company. We are experienced startup operators and insuretech/fintech veterans who are hugely passionate about modernizing enormous industries that haven’t been updated in decades.
